Tips and Tricks

Create a Starting Frame

While shooting, if your cameras frame counter and the apps counter do not match you can create a starting frame to sync the two counters together. This can be done by swiping on a frame in iOS and pressing and holding on Android.

Multiple Exposures

An image can only contain 1 set of exif data. To handle multiple exposures we recommend saving the first exposure as a regular frame and not recording any further frames. On iOS you can go to the notes of the first frame and press the "Additional Exposure" Keyboard Button to auto populate a short description about any additional frames.

Enhanced Location Information

Using your devices location comes with many benefits including additional location data. This data isn't essential but it will only be written when using the original location from the device. If you change the location only the Latitude and Longitude you've entered will be written to the image.

Exiftool Compatability

Exif-Max can also export a CSV file already formatted to work with ExifTool. To learn more please watch our YouTube tutorial.

Keywords and Copyright

When using Exif-Max: The Lab you can write Copyright information and Keywords to all images. Look in the app settings for more information.
